When specifically do I need an internet connection? |
An internet connection is required for one-time conversion of Microsoft Office format
files into HTML, and optional for conversion of PDF files (see the app Settings menu).
Converted files are stored by the app and may be saved, re-used, transferred, or deleted
by the Presenter at any time (see the app Present menu).
A connection is also required to transfer files if a non-Chrome browser is used; Chrome
allows files to be transferred using a WiFi connection.
|
|
How do I convert a PDF presentation without an internet connection? |
Press Settings and set Cloud Convert to Off.
This will cause PDF files to be converted by the app. Note that the file may have a different
appearance from conversion on the cloud.
|
|
How does all of this really work? |
When a Presenter initially selects a file for presentation, it is converted
into HTML so that it may be displayed in a web browser. The converted file
is saved by the app, enabling repeated presentations to be made without file
re-conversion. This also allows the Presenter to use any device for presentation,
even if the presentation file was not stored on that device. The original and
converted file may be saved, re-used, transferred, or deleted by the Presenter
at any time (see the app Present menu).
